These terms are the agreement between you and upONE Software LLC for your use of SpotCue.
Last updated: 18 September 2026
The short version. SpotCue is a paid subscription app operated by upONE Software LLC. You buy it through Apple or Google, and they handle billing, cancellation and refunds. Location Credits are a feature of your subscription, not currency — they have no cash value. You can delete your account from inside the app at any time.
SpotCue is operated by upONE Software LLC (“upONE”, “we”, “us”). These Terms of Service govern your use of the SpotCue mobile application and the spotcue.online website (together, “SpotCue”). By creating an account or using SpotCue, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use SpotCue.
You must be at least 13 years old to use SpotCue, and old enough to enter a binding contract where you live. SpotCue is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. During onboarding we ask for your date of birth solely to confirm you meet this minimum age; see the Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for your account, for keeping your sign-in method secure, and for activity that happens under it. Tell us at support@spotcue.online if you believe someone else has access. One person, one account; do not share credentials.
Use SpotCue lawfully and for its intended purpose. Do not:
SpotCue is a location-aware reminders app. You create reminders attached to places, and your device's operating system tells SpotCue when you arrive at or leave one. SpotCue also offers SpotRun multi-stop trips, voice capture, saved places, widgets and Live Activities where the platform supports them.
SpotCue is a convenience tool, not a safety system. Location reminders depend on your device's hardware, operating system, permissions, battery state and network — none of which we control.
Do not rely on SpotCue for anything where a missed reminder would be dangerous — medication, medical appointments, childcare, legal deadlines or similar. Never interact with SpotCue while driving; follow your local road-safety laws.
Full functionality requires an auto-renewing subscription. SpotCue offers two plans, and both unlock every feature:
Prices shown are the U.S. reference prices. The price you actually pay is the localized price your store displays at purchase, in your own currency, and it may differ by region. There is no permanent free tier.
Both plans include up to 100 new location reminders each month and up to 40 active at once. The monthly allowance resets at the start of each month for yearly and monthly subscribers alike.
Billing starts at purchase, or — for Yearly — when the 7-day free trial ends. Subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price for the same period until you cancel. Your store charges the payment method on file within 24 hours before each period ends.
Cancel at any time, at least 24 hours before the current period ends, in the store you bought from:
Cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep access until the end of the period you already paid for. Cancel a yearly trial before it ends and you will not be charged. Any unused part of a free trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
If you reinstall SpotCue or sign in on another device, use Restore Purchases in the app (Settings → Subscription) to re-link an existing subscription bought with the same store account.
Some reminders need SpotCue to look up a place for you. That lookup costs a Location Credit. Credits are a feature of the service — they are not currency, not a stored-value product, and have no cash value. They cannot be exchanged, transferred, sold or redeemed for money.
Reusing a Saved Place, or a place SpotCue already holds for you, costs nothing.
If you run out, you can buy a top-up of 20 Location Credits (U.S. reference price $2.99). A top-up is a one-time purchase, not a subscription, and it does not renew.
Top-up availability may be temporarily limited. We may adjust credit costs, allowances or pricing for the future; changes never reduce credits you have already purchased.
upONE does not process payments and cannot issue refunds. All SpotCue purchases are made through the Apple App Store or Google Play, and refunds are handled by that store under its own policy and process. We cannot override a store's refund decision.
Where local consumer law gives you refund or cancellation rights, those rights are not affected by this section.
When a store confirms a refund of a credit top-up, SpotCue adjusts that purchase in the app:
If you want to stop being billed and remove your data, cancel in your store first, then delete your account in the app.
You can delete your account at any time in the app under Settings → Delete account and data, or see Delete your account. Deletion permanently removes your account and the data attached to it — reminders, saved places, SpotRuns, trigger history, settings and your profile — and forfeits any unused purchased Location Credits. It does not cancel your subscription; cancel that separately in your store.
SpotCue relies on third parties to work, including Apple, Google Play, Google Maps Platform, Supabase, RevenueCat, PostHog, Sentry and Brandfetch. Their services are governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for them. Google Maps features are additionally subject to Google's Terms of Service. What each receives is described in the Privacy Policy.
If you obtained SpotCue from Apple's App Store, Apple's applicable terms may also apply to your download and use. If you obtained it from Google Play, Google Play's applicable terms may also apply. Subscription management and refunds are handled by the store you bought from.
SpotCue, its software, design, branding and content are owned by upONE Software LLC and protected by intellectual property law. We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use SpotCue on devices you control, for your own non-commercial use, for as long as these terms are in force. All rights not expressly granted are reserved. Third-party names and logos shown in the app belong to their owners and are used only to identify places.
Your content stays yours. Reminders, saved places and other content you create remain yours; you grant us only the licence needed to operate SpotCue for you.
We may change, suspend or discontinue features, and we may impose limits, to keep SpotCue working and sustainable. We aim to give reasonable notice of material adverse changes where we can. SpotCue is not guaranteed to be available uninterrupted or error-free.
We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these terms, misuse the service, or where required by law — normally with notice, and immediately where the breach is serious. You may stop using SpotCue at any time by cancelling and deleting your account. Sections that by their nature should survive termination do so.
SpotCue is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty that SpotCue will be uninterrupted, timely, accurate or error-free. We do not warrant that reminders will trigger at any particular time or place. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law in your country.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, upONE Software LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or missed events, opportunities or appointments, arising from your use of or inability to use SpotCue. Our total liability for any claim relating to SpotCue is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for SpotCue in the twelve months before the claim, or USD 50. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, and nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which upONE Software LLC is organised, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and the courts located there have jurisdiction over disputes. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory laws of your country of residence, or of the right to bring proceedings there where local law gives you that right.
We may update these terms as SpotCue changes. The “Last updated” date above always reflects the current version. For material changes we will give reasonable notice — in the app, by email, or on this page — before they take effect. Continuing to use SpotCue after the effective date means you accept the updated terms. If you do not, cancel and delete your account.
